The Power of Color!
How color brings our personality to life
Whether I'm painting a poster, sewing something new for my wardrobe, or rearranging a corner of my home, everything always starts with one thing: color. Color is my compass; it tells me where to go creatively, how I want to feel, and how I want to show up in my own world. For me, it's not just about what I do, wear, or decorate; it's about the feeling behind it all. Color carries that feeling better than anything else.
Sure, texture and form are also important (and trust me, I could talk about that all day, but let's save that for another post). What fascinates me most is how color can completely change our mood, evoke memories, and create a sense of comfort and belonging, whether in our living spaces or in what we choose to wear. Color is deeply personal. It's energy. It's emotions. It's identity.
Over time, I've learned exactly which colors I love and why I love them. I know which ones make me feel calm, which ones make me feel powerful, and which ones instantly lift my spirits. I can walk into a fabric store or a paint shop and feel a magnetic pull towards my colors. I don't always follow trends; I follow my palette!
And even if I occasionally venture off the beaten path and flirt with a bold, unexpected pop (because sometimes you just need that playful moment), I always come back to my top three favorites. And we all know that three is the magic number!
There's something so satisfying about knowing your colors. It makes everything easier when you're putting together an outfit or simply planting flowers in your garden. It provides harmony and flow, from your wardrobe to your walls. My home feels like me because I have filled it with colors that speak my language. My wardrobe reflects my personality without me saying a word. And the art I make feels like it truly belongs, like the finishing touch, like an accessory, if you will!
